 NeuroInvestigations
is a joint industry-academic development within the
Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience, (CCBN)
at the University of Lethbridge. CCBN offers research
and classroom facilities to students and scientists
in the pursuit of neuroscience. There is a wealth of
knowledge available with over 140 scientists and researchers
working in the CCBN. The 40,000 square foot research
centre was opened in 2002 for the exclusive pursuit
of behavioural neuroscience research. CCBN boasts a
capacity for 2000 rats and 1000 mice. It features over
20 behavioural testing rooms, 4 wet labs, 2 surgical
suites, separate electron and confocal microscopy suites,
and an image analysis suite. Expansions to the CCBN
are ongoing with the newest addition of dedicated laboratory
space to be completed in 2005.
